15 Adorable Summer Dresses (That You Can Buy Online)

Summer is just around the corner! And the best part about summer…besides the glorious weather, of course… is getting to break out a summer dress. Dresses at this time of year are fantastic. You throw one on with a pair of comfy sandals…and away you go! It could not be easier or comfier.

This post is sharing 15 of my favorite summer dresses I’ve spotted online recently. Some of these I do actually own too. Not all of them have made it on the blog, though…as I bought a good majority of them for my trip to Egypt and Jordan, which is coming up in less than 2 weeks now. Eek! I can’t wait.

So, without further ado, here are 15 adorable summer dresses that are all available online! Enjoy! And I would love to hear which is your favorite in the comments section.

15 Adorable Summer Dresses (That You Can Buy Online)

1.) 20 Adorable, Summer Dresses (That You Can Buy Online)

Starting this list off with one I do have myself! This maxi dress is one that the photo does not do justice. It’s GORGEOUS in person, and it’s very comfy. It’s the perfect length to wear with sandals too – it isn’t dragging on the ground, but doesn’t look weirdly short. I’m planning to bring it with to Egypt due to its length and because it breathes really well in the hot summer heat! (I actually have this dress in one other color + I own 5 dresses from this brand – they’re great!)

Plaid is one of those prints I had always sworn off…but I’m really coming around to it. It doesn’t hurt that this dress comes in such a lovely shade of pink too! This is one of those dresses too, that’s easy enough to pair with sandals or sneakers for a casual look, but it would also look great with heels and a petticoat for a dressier outfit!

3.)

What’s a summer dress list without some dinosaurs? I’m really excited that more people are catching onto the fact that dinosaur print clothing is beyond cool. It’s popping up a lot these days! This dress is one I’ve had my eye for a while now – the reviews are fantastic for it! (Plus, it comes in sizes Small – 4X!)

4.)

I am not usually a fan of spaghetti strap or strapless dresses, as I hate strapless bras…but I would make an exception for this gorgeous dress! (The straps are removable on this dress as well.) That asymmetrical hemline is to die for.

5.)

Again, this is another dress that would be super versatile. Throw on a pair of heels and this dress can work for a formal event. Pair it with sandals and go for a walk on the boardwalk! I love dresses like this.

Gingham + a watermelon print? I mean, does it get any more summery than that? I don’t think so! Also, this dress has pockets. I repeat, this dress has pockets! (I own this dress but in a different print, and it is my go-to for summer! I’ve worn it dressy, here & to the beach, here.)

7.)

I love how timeless this dress is. This is one of those dresses that I would have for years and it would never look dated. Plus, it’s made out of linen…so, it’ll be so comfortable in the summer heat. And it’ll look great with a straw sun hat!

8.)

It’s taken a lot of restraint for me to not fill this entire list with floral dresses. Florals are ALWAYS a good idea, but they, obviously, work best during summer. Paired with a sunny, bright yellow color like this one – seals the deal for me!

9.)

I may have restrained myself on floral prints…but I couldn’t help getting some novelty prints in here! I’m a sucker for a novelty print dress, and this lobster dress has my name written all over it. I’m not a fan of the spaghetti straps, but this one would work well with my red cardigan too!

10.)

Yep, see…told you I couldn’t help myself with the novelty prints! I actually own this amazing, galaxy print dress too. I haven’t had a chance to style if for summer yet, though. I wore it for winter, here. However, I’m here to tell you, it’s going to make a much better summer dress sans tights! (It gets a bit staticky and sticks to my tights during the winter.) I can’t wait to break it out again!

And I own this one too! (I might have a dress problem, folks.) This is another one I bought for Egypt, and the photos don’t do justice. It’s such a pretty color in person and the details on the back of it are really fun. However, I’ll be layering a cami under it to make it more modest for Egypt (and because I like to wear bras). It looks great with a cami underneath it as well, though!

12.)

I don’t own this exact dress, but I do have a really similar one with long sleeves that’s also coming with to Egypt (the exact dress I bought sold out already)! This style of dress is just too comfortable, and it’s modest enough for Egypt, but it will still keep me cool. My husband has told me, he doesn’t think I’ll actually wear this one in public, though, as it’s so different from my normal style. (Read: it isn’t a bright color and doesn’t have a loud print on it, and also isn’t a fit and flare dress.) I’m going to show him! Haha.

13.)

This is the type of dress my husband usually sees me wearing during summer. I am all for a cotton, vintage-inspired number like this one! This one is made by Hearts and Found. They’re a fabulous little shop known for their beautiful vintage inspired clothing – and all of their items can be made to your exact measurements! Even better, they have a mission to support local businesses and tailors and source all of their fabrics from local Vietnam markets. (They’re currently supporting an independent tailor in Vietnam named Co Thanh (Auntie Thanh). She has a small tailoring shop in an area called District 5 and currently employs 3 people.) How awesome is that?

Trying to break away from my normal dress silhouette here with this pretty pencil dress. I love the belt it comes with too! I really need to start adding more pencil dresses and skirts to my wardrobe. One day…

And last, but not least, one more dress with a fun, print! Because this is my summer dress list and I’ll do what I want. Haha. This one features a hand-drawn print of pink, black, and white retro diner motifs. How fun is that?! Oh, and POCKETS!

I recently just got into wearing dresses, seeing you in all the dresses just makes me want to go shop for dresses. You are so beautiful. Love your post.

I love the vintage style dresses especially the pink gingham which could be worn with a petticoat. Anything 50’s style with a high waist and room for the petticoat is my kid of dress.

That is so awesome you’re going to Egypt and Jordan soon. My dad was just talking about wanting to visit Egypt when I was down for Easter. Ahhh I just love your picks. I cannot wait to see which ones you wear on your trip. My favorites are #2,4 and 5. They are all lovely though.

  4. Number 1, 5 , and 8 are my favorite. Been looking for new dresses lately and haven’t bought any. spent some time at Ross yesterday and tried on about 8 dresses. Almost came come with a cute final shirt dress with a cool kerchief hem but it was a lil too big. I did come home with the softest cut pair of pjs though!
