Another Out of the Ordinary Dress

Woah, would you look at that. Two posts featuring bodycon dresses in one week! Craziness, haha. These are certainly dresses that are out of the ordinary for this blog! But, the lovely folks over at FashionMia had sent me this fun bodycon dress right after I posted Monday’s post. So, here we are, two bodycons in one week! I even went ahead and shot a video of this dress (at the end of the post), so you could see it in all its glory. (And I am a bit awkward when I can’t twirl in a dress, haha. Sorry!)

On FashionMia’s website, this dress had looked a tad longer, so I thought it might fit similar to Monday’s dress. However, as you can see, it’s a bit on the shorter side. It’s also a thinner material so it likes to ride up a bit. The lovely lace design, though, is very flattering, as is the color blocking.

And with a price tag that’s less than $16, I’m not going to complain too much, though! Just be aware that the material is thinner, but it’s not see-through. And the dress does “ride up” a bit, so you may have to readjust at times (as demonstrated in the video below, haha).

Oh, and this is my first time attempting to shoot a video 1.) of a bodycon dress. I didn’t really know what to do when I couldn’t twirl around. Haha. 2.) This is also the first outfit video I did by myself. My husband wasn’t around to tell me to stop being awkward. So, really, I blame him for me being such a spazz in this video! (Don’t feel bad for laughing at the awkwardness!) Enjoy! 😉

Thanks for taking the time to watch that! I do feel videos can sometimes give a better feel for how a dress will look/fit than photos do on their own. However, I feel like such a dork shooting them! Ah, well, maybe I’ll get better one day!

Now, I’m off to the northern part of Wisconsin to visit my grandparents, and then I’ll be starting my journey back to Rosario, Argentina. So, I’ll be back to business as usual next week. Thanks for putting up with my lack of response this week!

What are your plans for the weekend? And have you been wearing anything out of the ordinary for your taste lately? Let me know in the comments!

  6. Haha not as awkward as I would have been, work it girl! I haven’t been stepping out of my comfort zone too too much, but I have been following the off the shoulder and cold shoulder trends, which is pretty odd for me! I’m not usually a trend follower 🙂

    1. Haha! I doubt that! You are far too kind, Jocelyn! And thank you so much! Ooh, and I have not started with the off the shoulder trend, but I do love the way it looks! 🙂

  7. The best feature I love about bodycon dresses is I can wear them under another skirt too!! This one would work so well that way, because of the lace design!!
