Last Updated on June 4, 2019 Shop the look: I’m on a hair accessories kick, right now. There’s just so many fun options! I’m especially loving hippie headbands. They look like fun, modern day crowns. I’m not completely convinced I can pull it off (and my husband informed me he’s not a fan), but I figured I would give it a shot with this gold leaf headband. I picked it up at Rue 21 for a few dollars. I am… Read more »
Last Updated on June 4, 2019 Shop the look: My husband and I just recently celebrated our 2 year anniversary! I decided to get extra dressed up for the occasion, fascinator and all. I’ve always wanted a fascinator, but I never had the courage to buy one until a couple weeks ago. This is an inexpensive one from Icing that is very comfortable. It’s a good starter fascinator in, my opinion. It’s not too over-the-top, and it’s not too heavy…. Read more »
Last Updated on November 12, 2019 I don’t usually get too personal on my blog. I try to keep the content light and fun. However, for this post I’m going to take the time to explain my life a little better. I think a good starting point will be my wedding. That’s what the above pictures are of. As you can see, we didn’t have the big fairy tale wedding with the white dress. We were married in a courthouse,… Read more »
Last Updated on September 28, 2017 It’s been a while since I posted a travel post! I’ll explain why that is soon, but first, let me explain where we are in these pictures. The above pictures are of Indianhead Ski Resort in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We were invited by our friends to spend New Years at the resort with them. It was a wonderful time! I personally am a terrible downhill skier, so I opted for snowshoeing while… Read more »
Last Updated on June 4, 2019 Shop the look: This is the first outfit I wore in 2015! And what better way to start off the new year than wearing Pantone’s 2015 Color of the Year? If you haven’t heard yet, Marsala is this year’s color. (Don’t worry I just recently found out this was a thing, as well. Click here to learn more.) My Marsala colored cardigan is a Christmas gift from my mom (she has great taste)…. Read more »
Last Updated on June 4, 2019 Shop the look: I have a confession. I bought these tights for the sole purpose of matching this awesome purple lip gloss. I’m a bit surprised myself at just how much I love this vampy purple lip color. I don’t generally blog about makeup, just because I don’t feel this is an area I have much expertise. I mean let’s be honest, short of switching my lip color from nude to red on occasion,… Read more »
Last Updated on March 21, 2016 There are so many things in this post I love, I’m having a hard time deciding where to start. From the flower crown to the Jump From Paper bag to my fluffy sweater…it all makes me so happy! OK, I’ll start with the Jump From Paper bag, just because a lot of people don’t believe it’s actually real when they see pictures. I can assure you it’s very real, and it is so awesome!… Read more »
Last Updated on December 12, 2017 Shop the look: Who says you can’t wear brown and black together? I’m not sure, but it’s something that’s been ingrained in my brain forever…that is, until I bought these boots. I haven’t bought a new pair of boots in a few years, but I really liked the way these looked…even if they broke the age-old “don’t mix brown with black” rule. They are also very comfortable, and I really like the way they… Read more »

Last Updated on December 10, 2019 ‘Tis the season for ugly Christmas sweaters. I must admit, though, I don’t think my Snoopy sweater is all that ugly. I honestly bought it because I think it’s cute and wanted to wear it for Christmas. I found this sweater at Target, and when I was checking out a lady started asking me about the “Ugly Sweater” party I was going to. I was confused and then a little worried about my taste… Read more »
Last Updated on June 4, 2019 Shop the look: I’m another year older today! The pictures above are of my “birthday outfit” (not to be confused with suit, haha). I had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday over the weekend. My husband had taken me out to eat to a lovely Mediterranean restaurant in downtown Appleton. (If you’re ever in the Appleton area definitely check out Il Angolo Resto Bar. It is the best restaurant in Appleton!) I couldn’t tell… Read more »
Last Updated on June 4, 2019 Shop the look: It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, especially when Bosco is wearing a Santa suit. Don’t worry, he received many treats during this photo session and was a wonderful little model. His tiny Santa suit came from Burlington Coat Factory, and he surprisingly doesn’t seem to mind it that much (except when the hood is up). As far as dog clothes go, this seems to be a very well-made Santa… Read more »
Last Updated on December 8, 2019 This cape-like cardigan brings to mind images of Little Red Riding Hood, on her way to her grandma’s house. While this cardigan does not have the iconic hood, its stand-up collar is sure to keep you warm. I was actually on my way to meet my grandma (for Thanksgiving) in these photos. Haha. She and my grandpa live in northern Wisconsin near the tourist town of Minocqua. That’s why there’s so much snow in… Read more »
Last Updated on June 4, 2019 Shop the look: Kitties and books are a couple of my favorite things in life. So, a sweatshirt of a dapper kitty reading a book is just not something I could pass up. This sweatshirt is easily my favorite purchase of the year. It is the most comfortable piece of clothing I own, and it’s obviously adorable. I actually bought this because I have another sweatshirt that fits exactly like this (except it has… Read more »
Last Updated on November 14, 2019 It seems as though we are always dealing with snow and cold in Wisconsin, so, being crazy for cardigans is a bit of a given. I would venture to say the majority of us gals living in the cold have a whole closet full of cardigans, but probably not many of them look like this one.
Last Updated on June 4, 2019 Shop the look: My go-to style of dress has always been, and will always be the A-line. It’s flattering, classy and I always feel comfortable in it. And my go-to colors have always been, and will always be, black and white. Lucky for me, this dress embodies all of my “go-to” fashion favorites. My husband bought this dress and these cute, retro heels for me for my birthday last year (how lucky am I?)…. Read more »
Last Updated on June 4, 2019Featured Fashionistas is a new section I’ve added to Have Clothes, Will Travel that will highlight one lovely, fashionable lady each month. The Featured Fashionista can have a business, blog, etc. they would like to share with my readers, or just a love of fashion, or all of the above! I will spend some time putting together a highlight of the Fashionista, and if they happen to live close to me, I will also do… Read more »
Last Updated on June 4, 2019 Shop the look: I don’t know if anything goes together quite as well as polka dots and pearls. It’s cute, retro, classy and reminds me of Minnie Mouse (and who doesn’t love Minnie Mouse?). This outfit also gives me a wonderful excuse to wear a pair of red pumps. However, I have a love-hate relationship with bodycon dresses. They can be very flattering (when standing correctly and wearing appropriate underwear) and generally they come… Read more »
Last Updated on June 4, 2019 Shop the look: Cardigans, boots and scarfs are staples once the chilly winds of fall set in. This fun peacock scarf and bright cardigan are a sure way to stand out and still be cozy. This peacock scarf from ModCloth is my favorite scarf at the moment. It’s very unique and can be worn with a plethora of outfits. I’ve styled it with everything from sweatshirts to dresses, and it works. The material is… Read more »
Last Updated on June 4, 2019 Shop the look: I love Star Wars. Let’s be clear, though. When I say I love Star Wars, I’m referring to the originals… not those darn prequels with Jar Jar Binks in them. I also would like the world to be aware of my love of the original trilogy. What better way to showcase this, than with a one-of-a-kind Star Wars dress? I bought this dress off Etsy from a lady who makes them… Read more »
Last Updated on June 4, 2019 Shop the look: Say what you will of the garbage-rummaging raccoon, you won’t change my mind on how cute this sweater is. I don’t know if raccoon will be making their way onto the fashion scene with quite the zealousness of say… all things owl. I do, however, love cute, unique, novelty clothes, and this Sugarhill Boutique sweater embodies all of these things.
Last Updated on June 4, 2019The seasons are changing and so is my hair. (Ha!) I’ve been a blonde for about 10 years, until this week. My good friend and stylist over at Beyond Beautiful Salon talked me into trying something different this time, and I’m sure glad she did. It was time for a change, my hair was getting rather see-through and damaged. I’m loving being a brunette, my hair seems so much thicker and shinier, but what do… Read more »
Last Updated on June 4, 2019 Shop the look: At first glance this may not look like the most exciting outfit. Once you look a little closer, though, there are some rather unique aspects to this ensemble. My favorite part is the custom Octopus TOMS. I don’t have any particular love for octopus, but there’s just something about these TOMS! Obviously, TOMS are awesome and comfortable (and they come in wide!), but having a custom pair is so much more… Read more »
Last Updated on June 4, 2019 Shop the look: Sailing may not be one of my hobbies, but that doesn’t mean I don’t love wearing nautically inspired clothes! The nautical look has been popular for quite a while, and after browsing some of my favorite clothes stores (OK, mainly ModCloth) it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.
Last Updated on June 4, 2019An ancient city complete with fast food restaurants, taverns, brothels, mansions, running water, a market, an amphitheater and a port… doesn’t really sound ancient at all. However, the city of Pompeii is nearly 2,000 years old. It is hard to adequately describe how incredible it is to walk the streets of this wonderfully preserved city. Don’t worry, though, I have plenty of pictures.
Last Updated on June 4, 2019This weekend was all about being comfortable. The only things I felt like wearing were my yoga capris and a sweatshirt (I’m still blaming the laziness on last weekend’s marathon). I had to go out in public, though, so a maxi skirt and loose-fitting dress were a nice compromise. (There are two separate outfits in this post.) It’s All Black & White
Last Updated on June 4, 2019 Shop the look: The trees may already be donning their fall colors, but that didn’t stop me from breaking out a summer dress one last time. I had bought this particular dress in an effort to break away from my favorite A-line style dress. I’m a bit of a prude when it comes to my clothes. I’ve never felt comfortable showing much for skin or wearing anything clingy. When this dress went on sale… Read more »
