Nutcracker in the Castle

I lied. There is a blog post today! Merry Christmas Eve, everyone. I didn’t want Christmas to pass and not share this amazing yearly exhibit at the Paine Art Center in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. My family and I had visited Nutcracker in the Castle over the weekend, and despite it taking place every year, this was all our first time going to it! Each room of this historic estate is transformed into scenes from the Nutcracker fairy tale and it is… Read more »

Doc's Harley-Davidson

Doc’s Harley-Davidson in Bonduel, Wisconsin is far beyond just a motorcycle dealership. Here you’ll find a zoo, complete with kangaroos and alligators, a motorcycle museum, restaurant and bar…plus, Doc’s creations adorn the property. See one below. (Doc is the owner.) I live fairly close to Doc’s Harley-Davidson but only recently made the drive over to it for a family birthday party. I didn’t realize just what an assortment of things there are to see and experience at Doc’s! I hadn’t… Read more »

Wisconsin is a lovely place to be overall, regardless of what you wear. Not any outfits or travel… Read more »

Because of Houdini’s time in Appleton, we have a museum dedicated to his awesome magic tricks/escapes! It’s a really interactive museum… Read more »

Shop the look: We had a little snowstorm here in Northeast Wisconsin. It was nothing comparable to Winter Storm Jonas…but we did get about 5 inches of snow on top of however many inches we already had. It was enough to make driving a pain…but also make the world look beauuuutiful. I decided to take full advantage of this winter wonderland yesterday.. and had a little fun playing out in the snow for this outfit post. I know I won’t… Read more »

It took me a few tries before I was finally able to write this post. I guess I am just in denial that we are actually leaving Stevens Point, Wisconsin…which has been our home for the past year and a half. I’m probably going to be a bit of an emotional wreck by the time I actually finish it. When my husband and I first found out we were moving to Stevens Point, I remember being very disappointed and thinking “What… Read more »
