When it comes to TV, there are shows that you casually watch…

Then, there are shows, like these 15 binge-worthy TV shows, that you watch in a single day because they’re just that good. You know the feeling. You tell yourself, “Just one more episode,” and suddenly it’s 2 a.m. You might’ve experienced the feeling if you watched any of the Netflix shows that were so addictive that viewers stayed up until morning

Recently, an online discussion asked participants to chime in with the most addictive, can’t-look-away drama series they’d watched, and they delivered! The result was a long list of incredible shows… and very little agreement on which TV dramas are actually the best.

Still, a few titles came up again and again, with some pretty enthusiastic reactions.

Here are some of the most talked-about picks.

1. The Americans Is a Standout Favorite

This one came up multiple times and with strong opinions.

One commenter said, “THE AMERICANS. My personal favorite show of the past 20 years.”

Another jumped in just to agree: “Seconding The Americans!”

It’s clearly a top-tier pick for anyone looking for a gripping, character-driven drama.

Editor’s note: This is also my top pick for a must-watch drama! Plus, it’s based on true events.

2. Mr. Robot Has a Loyal Fan Base

If you’re into psychological thrillers, this one seems to hit hard.

One person wrote, “Mr. Robot.”

Another added, “Here to second Mr. Robot! Great show.”

Comments were short and simple, but with several mentions and quite a few upvotes, they were convincing.

3. Breaking Bad Still Sets the Standard

It’s no surprise this one made the list.

Even in a thread full of strong contenders, Breaking Bad continues to show up as a go-to recommendation for intense, binge-worthy drama. Sometimes a show is just that good!

4. Ozark and Peaky Blinders Bring the Intensity

For fans of crime dramas, these two were mentioned together.

“Ozark, Peaky Blinders,” one commenter suggested.

Both are known for high stakes, strong characters, and that “just one more episode” feeling.

5. Barry Is Surprisingly Bingeable

This one caught people off guard in a good way.

“Can’t believe nobody has said Barry! Omg we biiiiinged that show so hard!”

It’s not your typical drama, but clearly it’s one that hooks people quickly.

6. The Leftovers Leaves a Big Impression

Some shows don’t just entertain. They stick with you, and The Leftovers fits the bill.

One commenter said, “Instead I’ll throw in The Leftovers for anyone who hasn’t yet seen it.”

It didn’t have the loudest recommendation in the thread, but it was definitely a meaningful one.

7. Dark Keeps You Thinking

If you like complex, twist-heavy storytelling, this one came up as a must-watch.

“Dark,” one commenter wrote.

Short answer, but if you’ve seen it, you know that’s all it takes.

8. Slow Horses and Fargo Add Variety

Not every recommendation was a mainstream blockbuster.

“Slow Horses,” one person wrote.

And another added, “Fargo.”

Both bring a different kind of pacing and tone, but still keep viewers hooked.

9. BEEF Is One of the Newer Favorites

More recent shows made the list, too.

One commenter wrote, “BEEF. One of the most insane and well-written shows I’ve seen.”

That kind of reaction says a lot.

10. And Then… There Are Endless Options

Of course, the list didn’t stop there.

Other shows mentioned included:

  • Six Feet Under
  • Killing Eve
  • The Shield
  • Justified
  • Banshee
  • Deadwood

Which really highlights the main takeaway: There’s no single “best” drama series. Really, it’s up to personal opinion and what you’re in the mood to see. If you’re looking for more binge-worthy shows, be sure to check out the Netflix shows that were so addictive that viewers stayed up until morning
