I Tested a Lot of Amazon “Must-Haves”—These Are the Ones Worth It (+ $100 Gift Card Giveaway)
My last Amazon gift card giveaway was such a hit, I couldn’t not do another one.

And since I buy a slightly ridiculous amount of stuff on Amazon, I figured this was the perfect excuse to finally round up the things I actually use all the time and would buy again.
I’ve organized a lot of them in my Amazon storefront into little lists by category. These are things I’ve actually ordered myself, and if you click through and end up buying something, I do earn a tiny commission at no extra cost to you.
So in this post, I’m sharing those lists, highlighting a few of my top favorites from each, and adding a $100 Amazon gift card giveaway at the end!
The Carpet Cleaner That Saved My Carpet (and My Sanity)

BISSELL Revolution HydroSteam Pet Carpet Cleaner 3432
I’m starting with this because it’s hands down one of the best purchases I’ve made in years.
I have two cats and two dogs (all with various health issues), so I’ve dealt with some truly awful messes. I’m talking puke, pee, stains I didn’t even notice until way too late… the whole situation.
This cleaner has handled all of it. It’s pulled out stains I thought were permanent and made my rugs and carpet look shockingly close to new again.
The hose attachment is what really makes it. I’ve used it under the bed, along edges, and in spots a normal cleaner just can’t reach. I use the recommended shampoo with it and haven’t felt the need to experiment beyond that – it works so well.
If you have pets (or honestly just light-colored rugs), this thing earns its keep fast.
You can see it on Amazon here.
My Pet Setup (What Actually Works in a Multi-Animal House)

PETLIBRO RFID Automatic Cat Feeder
One of my cats has stage two kidney disease, which means he needs his own food, and absolutely cannot be stealing from the others.
This feeder solved that problem immediately. It only opens for him, portions his meals throughout the day, and gives me peace of mind that he’s actually eating what he’s supposed to.
A couple other things I use constantly:
- A waterproof backseat cover for the car (if you travel with pets, you already know)
- A waterproof pet blanket that I throw on furniture—way easier than constantly cleaning everything, plus everyone loves having their own “blankie.”
You can see everything I use for my pets here.

My Travel Staples (These Come on Every Trip)
I’ve tested a lot of “travel must-haves.” Most of them are unnecessary. These aren’t.
- Compression socks – I started using these on long-haul flights and won’t go back. My legs feel so much better when I land.
- Packing cubes – I resisted these for way too long. Now I use them every single trip.
- Sink suds – This is one of those things you don’t think you need… until you do. Especially for longer trips.
If you’ve read my packing posts, you’ve probably seen these pop up more than once.

Clothing I Actually Wear
Amazon clothing is very hit or miss. These are the hits.
- Cariuma sneakers – Great for wide feet, super comfortable, and I wear them constantly when I travel.
- White Mountain clogs – If you like the Birkenstock look but not the price, these are a really solid alternative. Comfortable, easy, and I reach for them more than I expected.
You can browse everything I’ve kept and actually wear here.

My Kitchen + Home Finds (The Ones That Didn’t End Up Forgotten in a Drawer)
I’ve definitely fallen for a few “this will change your life” gadgets that absolutely did not.
These are the ones that stuck around:
- A few simple kitchen tools I use regularly (nothing overly complicated)
- Random home upgrades that just make things easier day-to-day (and some fun decor things too!)
- Office purchases I didn’t realize I needed until I had them

Backyard + Patio Finds I Actually Use
We’ve slowly been upgrading our patio and backyard setup, and I’ve tried to keep it practical—not just aesthetic.
This section is a mix of:
- Patio pieces we use all the time
- Pool/backyard items that actually hold up
- A few things that just made the space more enjoyable overall
See my patio Amazon purchases here.
There are more options in here.

Workout Gear That I Keep Rebuying
I’m pretty picky about workout gear, especially for running. I have also built a pretty solid home gym in the basement, mostly purchasing items on Amazon.
This is the stuff that’s held up:
- Pieces I’ve repurchased
- Things that don’t fall apart after a few weeks
- Gear I actually reach for instead of avoiding
See the full workout gear list here.

Toiletries + Beauty (Simple, Affordable, Works)
A lot of what I use is straightforward, affordable, and easy to reorder—which is exactly why I get it from Amazon.
I’m especially a big fan of e.l.f. products. They’ve been consistently good, and I keep going back to them. (Seriously, I have yet to try an e.l.f. product that I don’t like.)

Photography + Video Gear I Use for Content
Since I get asked about this quite a bit, I put everything in one place:
- Cameras and accessories
- Tripods, lighting, and random extras
- Props and small things that make filming easier
If you’re curious what I actually use behind the scenes, see it all here.
