I’ve Bought a Lot of Outdoor Furniture Online—These 11 Stores Are Actually Worth It
After furnishing nearly our entire patio online over the last few years, I’ve definitely developed some strong opinions on where to shop for outdoor furniture. Some of the pieces I found were total wins. Others, not so much. If you’re in the market for outdoor furniture that looks great and actually lasts, this list is a roundup of the online retailers I’ve personally found to be worth browsing.
I’ve bought from several of these stores myself and will include my own take where I can. Maybe you’re just adding a few new chairs. Maybe you’re overhauling your whole setup. Either way, these are the sites I check first.

1. Frontera
Best for: Timeless, high-quality patio furniture that feels custom
I hadn’t heard of Frontera until recently, but I took a chance and ordered a couple of their rocking chairs. I’m honestly impressed. They’re incredibly well made, super sturdy, and actually comfortable to sit in (a rare combo!).
They also just look really nice on the patio. Clean, classic lines without being too formal. Zac put them together for me, and overall, didn’t think they were too bad to assemble. (Although, he did make one mistake… I’ll let you see if you can notice it.)
2. Wayfair
Best for: Options galore at every price point
Wayfair is the first place I go when I’m not sure what I want yet. There’s just so much to choose from. I’ve ordered everything from an entire outdoor seating set (above) to rugs to outdoor lighting here. The customer photos and reviews are especially helpful. It makes it a lot easier to know what you’re getting.

3. At Home
Best for: Affordable pieces and in-store treasure hunts
At Home is kind of like my secret weapon for budget-friendly furniture. I’ve picked up pillows, rugs, planters, chairs, side tables – you name it. Everything has held up surprisingly well. Their in-store shopping experience is actually kind of fun, but they’ve improved their online game too. (I typically do their “ship to store” option.)
4. Bed Bath & Beyond
Best for: Stylish sets and frequent sales
BB&B’s new site has some solid outdoor furniture options. I’ve grabbed a couple of sets from here that have lasted through multiple seasons, and they run good sales if you time it right. Recently, I ordered our pool lounge chairs from here. They had a great sale going on! I love the chairs (although Zac said these were quite a difficult assembly process), and the shipping was really speedy.
5. Article
Best for: Modern, minimalist outdoor styles
Article is my go-to when I’m feeling the minimalist vibe. The designs are simple and clean without being boring. I like that their pieces look higher-end but don’t come with a luxury price tag. Flat-rate shipping is also a nice perk.
6. Outer
Best for: Eco-conscious materials and serious comfort
If you want the outdoor version of a cozy living room, Outer’s furniture delivers. It’s definitely more of an investment, but it’s made with sustainable materials and built to last. Their built-in covers are a game changer if you’re tired of dragging cushions inside every time it rains.
7. Target
Best for: Stylish small-space options on a budget
I’m always surprised by how good Target’s outdoor pieces are. I’ve found some cute woven chairs, affordable loungers, and accent tables that have held up way better than expected. If you’re working with a small space or just want something seasonal, this is a great place to browse.
8. Amazon
Best for: Fast delivery and tons of reviews
Amazon is where I go when I need something quick. I’ve picked up things like plant stands, planters, poufs, benches, and even a cute refrigerator from here. Just be sure to dig into the reviews and look closely at the dimensions. You can find some gems, but there’s a lot to sort through. (See some of my Amazon patio finds here.)
9. Serena & Lily
Best for: Coastal-chic outdoor furniture
Going for that beachy, California-casual look? Serena & Lily has you covered. Their pieces look like something out of a design magazine. It’s definitely more of a splurge, but if you’re styling a space where aesthetics matter, they’re worth checking out.
10. Frontgate
Best for: Resort-style luxury
Frontgate’s outdoor furniture gives serious luxury hotel vibes. Think deep-seated sectionals, oversized loungers, and really plush cushions. It’s not cheap. But it’s the kind of stuff you’ll likely have for years.
11. Castlery
Best for: Mid-century meets outdoor
I haven’t bought from Castlery yet, but I’m constantly bookmarking their outdoor pieces. The look is very clean and modern, with natural wood tones and low-profile silhouettes that work well in both small and larger spaces.
