Finding the best leggings, and activewear in general, for women often feels like searching for a needle in a haystack. After all, with countless brands promising perfect fit, comfort, and durability, how do you know which ones actually deliver?
That’s why I put IUGA leggings, pants, shorts, and sports bras through an intensive 30-day test, wearing them for everything from hot yoga sessions to high-intensity workouts. This brand has become quite popular among fitness enthusiasts, but does it live up to the hype?
Whether you’re considering their High Waist Yoga Pants or the PowerTight collection, this detailed review will help you decide if IUGA deserves a spot in your activewear collection.

IUGA Sizing
To start, let’s see if IUGA clothing is true to size…
Online shopping can be tricky, especially with new brands. In my experience, IUGA sizing is consistent across their products. Based on their size chart, I ordered my normal size medium in everything featured in this post, and it all fits very well.
This has not been my experience with most brands, especially with activewear, so this was a pleasant surprise!
Review of My IUGA FlexTight™ High Waist Tummy Control Leggings With Pockets
First Impressions
My first impression of these leggings was how surprised I was by their soft, cottony feel. They only cost $26.99, yet they feel significantly higher quality than other leggings I’ve ordered at this price point, which are often shiny and almost plasticky. These IUGA leggings are much closer in feel and appearance to my Lululemon Wunder Train High-Rise leggings, which retail for $88.
Testing Them Out
Over the course of 30 days, I rotated these leggings with the IUGA PowerTight™ 6” Sandwich No Front Seam Shorts in my workout routine. I work out 5-6 days a week, doing strength training, kickboxing, HIIT, and Krav Maga. In the evenings, I also take a Hot Yoga class once or twice a week and a regular Vinyasa class in my basement once a week. So, I had plenty of opportunities to test these leggings in a variety of exercises and environments!
Are they comfortable?
I loved that the high-waist design provides flattering compression without feeling restrictive. I am really sensitive about this, but these are leggings I could comfortably wear for hours on end without feeling like they are cutting off circulation. Many budget leggings (and heck, expensive leggings too) struggle with this balance, they’re either so tight I feel sick or they start getting too loose as the workout gets going. IUGA describes their fabric as incorporating “4-way stretch” technology that varies with movement while maintaining shape over time, and I would say this is true!
These were comfortable to wear whether I was landing a kick, doing a front squat, rowing, stretching, running, jump roping, or sweating it out in hot yoga. I love how breathable they are and how fast-drying they are!
Are they see-through?
The material thickness passed the critical squat test—no see-through issues when stretched, bent over, or when squatting. I also liked that these leggings don’t show sweat, at least in their black color. I am someone who sweats profusely no matter what activity I’m doing, and I hate having it look like I peed my pants after a workout. Fortunately, with these leggings (at least in black) that is not an issue.
How are they holding up?
So far so good! The leggings maintained their shape remarkably well even after multiple washing cycles. (I don’t ever dry my activewear in the dryer.) There are no signs of wear after roughly a dozen wears and washes. I will update this post as I use these leggings more. And I will be using them more! I find myself reaching for these leggings more than my expensive ones when I’m getting ready for the gym in the morning.
Are there any cons?
The only downside I’ve noticed is that this buttery black material tends to show lint. If you accidentally throw a white towel in the wash with them (speaking from experience here), you’ll definitely see the lint on your leggings. However, that’s true for most black clothing. In fact, these leggings actually show less lint than some of my pricier Athleta activewear pieces with a similar feel.

IUGA PowerTight™ 6” Sandwich No Front Seam Shorts Review
I am going to be honest, I am not a shorts person. I would go so far as to say I hate wearing shorts. I much prefer working out in leggings. However, I wanted to give a well-rounded review, so I decided to give these shorts a try.
They are very similar in feel and fit to the leggings, just in short form. So, everything I wrote about the leggings also applies to these shorts.
I usually avoid wearing shorts because they tend to ride up in places I’d rather they didn’t, leaving me constantly adjusting them. However, these were definitely some of the better-fitting shorts I’ve tried. I did have to adjust them occasionally during workouts, but it wasn’t distracting like it usually is with other shorts.
I wore them for all the same activities as the leggings and found them very comfortable—except during hot yoga. I know that might sound odd, but I didn’t like how sweaty I felt with so much moisture on my legs that would otherwise be absorbed by leggings. That’s just a personal preference, though, and has nothing to do with the shorts themselves.

IUGA PowerTight™ Padded Strappy Y Back Sports Bra Review
This bra is made from the same material as the leggings and shorts, giving it a high-quality feel and look—especially considering it only costs $23.
The product description claims it’s a high-impact bra suitable for everything from running to yoga. Since I typically only buy high-impact bras to accommodate a variety of activities, I was eager to test it out.
However, I would categorize this as more of a low-impact bra than a high-impact one. I wouldn’t be able to wear it for running or any activity that involves jumping. In fact, I’ve only used this bra for yoga for that reason. It’s a very comfortable and stylish option for yoga, but unfortunately, I can’t use it for my other workouts.

IUGA High Waist Wide Leg Yoga Pants for Women Review
I LOVE wearing wide-leg pants for daily wear and when I’m traveling. They look stylish, and the wide legs make it easy to wear my compression socks comfortably on long flights. (I actually did this recently on my trip to Sweden!) These pants, like the leggings and other items, are made from a similar material and feel incredibly soft and comfortable.
However, I’m not a fan of wearing wide-leg pants when I exercise because I feel like I could trip over the fabric if I move the wrong way. So, I only used these pants for everyday wear—not for workouts, aside from walking my dogs.
For me, these have become my favorite work-from-home pants, and they’ll definitely be part of my travel clothing rotation. But they won’t be making an appearance at the gym!
Shop these wide leg yoga pants.

Final Verdict – Should You Add IUGA to Your Closet?
Yes! I highly recommend the IUGA brand after using these products for the past 30 days. The leggings have quickly become some of my favorite workout bottoms, and they cost less than $30—a total steal for this level of quality. I’m already looking forward to ordering a couple more pairs in different colors!
While I’m not as crazy about the shorts and bra (since they don’t fit into my routine as much), they still have a place in my wardrobe and are high-quality activewear at a very affordable price point. Someone who is more comfortable in shorts than leggings will be in heaven with these. And if your physical activity is more low impact, this is a great sports bra.
As for the wide-leg pants, they’ve become my go-to for daily wear and working from home. They’re so soft and comfy that they’ll definitely be part of my travel wardrobe too—just not my gym gear!
Overall, I’m really impressed with the quality and versatility of IUGA’s products. Whether you’re looking for reliable workout leggings, comfy everyday wear, or budget-friendly activewear that doesn’t compromise on style, IUGA is absolutely worth adding to your closet!
