The 10 Most Patriotic States in the U.S., According to a New Study

With the Fourth of July right around the corner, many Americans are pulling out their flags and planning backyard barbecues. But patriotism isn’t just about fireworks and parades; it’s also about showing up for your country year-round.

But what does it really mean to be patriotic in 2025? For some, it’s serving in the armed forces or voting in every election. For others, it’s volunteering in their communities or mentoring the next generation about civic duty.

A new study measured 13 key factors, ranging from military enlistees to voter turnout, to determine which states are leading the charge when it comes to American pride. Here are the top 10 most patriotic states in America, counting down to number one.

10. New Hampshire
