Even Gwyneth Paltrow’s Over Quiet Luxury — See Her Bold Gucci Look
Remember when Gwyneth Paltrow’s courtroom outfits went viral… those cream Loro Piana sweaters and stealth-wealth neutrals worth more than most people’s ski trips? Well, the queen of quiet luxury just swapped subtle for showy.

At Gucci’s Spring-Summer 2026 show in Milan, Paltrow stepped out in head-to-toe monogrammed Gucci, a pussybow blouse, belted midi skirt, and thigh-high boots that screamed “logo love.” Not a whisper of wealth here, more like a megaphone moment.
The look was a playful pivot from her usual minimalist vibe (and from her new line, GWYN, which features soft knits, classic blouses, and “dynamic women that do it all” energy).
Gucci’s new creative director, Demna (yes, that Demna, of Balenciaga fame) sent down a runway full of feathers, tiger print, and kitsch couture. It’s Gucci’s maximalist comeback tour, and Paltrow clearly got the memo.
For someone who’s built a brand around understatement, the logomania turn feels refreshingly tongue-in-cheek, and the fashion community couldn’t help but poke a little good-natured fun at the loud label look, like this post from satire account Fashion Critical. (If you’re not following yet, you really should… their posts are a highlight of my fashion-loving day!)
After years of “billionaire chic” and if-you-know-you-know knits, it seems both Paltrow and Gucci are ready to have some fun again. Quiet luxury can wait; sometimes, the loud stuff just hits better.
But if you’re not ready to give up quiet luxury just yet, here are some great quiet luxury bags to shop, and some great designers like Gucci.
