1. Spiders on a Camp Tent

One solo hiker shared a strange incident from his tour. He stated that after a hectic day, he decided to spend the night in the open sandy field. He was sleeping in his portable transparent tent. The stars and sky were visible from the tent. He went to sleep. He woke up in the middle of the night and saw his tent covered with giant black spiders. The spiders were protecting the tent in a way that he was not able to see the sky. He made an effort to send them away but all in vain. He went to sleep again. In the morning, the tent was clear again.

2. Bull Moose in the Woodland

Moose bull (Alces alces) look straight at you with mean eyes. He is truly the king in this forest and will not take lightly on trespassers.

One young man shared his terrifying story. He shared that he decided to spend a day exploring the nearby woodlands after school, so he did. On the abandoned river edge, he detects a growling noise behind him. It was a 50 ft bull moose staring at him. It chased him up to 1 km. 

3. Mud Swamp

One young lady shares that she and her husband decided to spend vacations exploring the forest. Her husband was overweight and slipped into the mud. It was a mud swamp. She added that giant mosquitoes were adding to the horror scene. Her husband was drowning in the swamp inch by inch until the rescue came. After that, she developed a phobia of hiking.

4. A Strong Wave in Canada

A honeymoon couple shared a horrible story. The man said they camped on the beach to enjoy the open sky and water splashes. The waves were trending low in this area. A considerable wave arrived and washed away everything in the middle of the night. It took 20 minutes to find each other after the surge.

5. Blister and Hypothermia

A boy scout mentioned that a trip with four other boys was a tragedy. One boy had a blister on his foot. That was contagious. And spread to all till the second day of the trip. On the way, a flash flood made all the foodstuff wet. Two got hypothermia and even forgot their names, places, and dates. Such a helpless situation was no less than a horror story.

6. Two Unknown Men in the Woods

One woman shared when she was in the Redwoods and her fellows were on the hunt for food. While they were gone, two young, strange, and bizarre men came to her and asked her how to murder someone. She said their appearance was not human-like.

7. Mountain Lion

A group of 8 people encountered a mountain lion. It triggered a lifetime of fear in them. They were tenting in the woods and collecting wood for fire. One of them saw bright eyes in the wood. They thought it was a raccoon, and getting excited, they approached closer. And it appeared to be a lion. After a half hour of no movement and silence, the mountain lion went back into the woods. They packed up and moved.

8. The Sleeping Tent Got Stuck

This story shared by a young lady is terrifying. She shared that her family took her on a trip to the woods as a teen. They camped in the night. Her tent was black. She went to sleep. Her parents decided to take a walk. The zip of her tent got stuck. She felt suffocation and fainted. After two hours, she was rescued. After that, she never planned another hiking trip.

9. A Portaloo on a Mountain

One mountain hiker said he needed to go to the bathroom on Blood Mountain. And surprisingly, he found a wooden portaloo here. “It wasn’t portable per se. It was three walls and a door and underneath? Underneath was a bin. A Large bin.” He doesn’t know how and who brought it here. He went in to use it opened the lid and…  “A torrent. A blast, a volcano of flies burst forth like something out of a nightmare. It was scarring.”

10. Lightning on the John Muir Trail

A solo traveler stated that he planned a 12-day trip toward the trails of John Muir. And it was just day one when the incident happened. The weather forecasting warned about low-level storms. In the darkness of night, an ample sparkle of lightning falls on the ground 3 km away from them, igniting a fire there. As the ground was an open field, the scene was more horrible.
