15 Gorgeous Modest Wedding Dresses You Can Buy Online
Sticking with my last post’s theme of modest dresses… I’m sharing 15 STUNNING modest wedding dresses today. You can even order them online if you wish!
Now, my wedding wasn’t the most conventional affair. I had just a few days to get a dress and get my butt to the courthouse! So, needless to say… I never had the beautiful white dress experience! My husband and I always love to talk about one day doing a renewal of vows ceremony to make up for it. So, I’m always looking at wedding dresses for “someday.”
15 Gorgeous Modest Wedding Dresses You Can Buy Online
Below are 15 of my favorite modest wedding dresses that you can buy online. (I’m allll about online shopping, especially with the way this last year went!) These modest wedding dresses range from traditional and vintage-style to modern and trendy and beyond. Some of these wedding dresses are also less than $500 (but there are a few in the thousands, too). I would love to hear which of these dresses is your favorite in the comments section at the end! Enjoy!

1. Pronovias x Anthropologie Weddings Eika Lace Wedding Gown

This is such a good option if you want something modest but still really flattering. The higher neckline and cap sleeves give you that coverage, but the sheer lace keeps it from feeling heavy or overly conservative.
I also like that it actually has structure through the bodice—it’s not one of those dresses that just kind of hangs. It shapes you nicely and then flows into that soft, slightly dramatic skirt without going over the top.

2.) BHLDN Bonheur Dress (Less than $600!)

BHLDN (pronounced “beholden”) is by one of my favorite brands – Anthropologie. BHLDN has tons of beautiful wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, party dresses, accessories, and décor. I LOVE the allover beading and vintage vibe of this dress. It’s also available in standard and plus sizes.

3.) Melissa Sweet Embroidered Illusion Mock Neck Wedding Dress

Ornate lace and floral appliqué are layered atop illusion mesh and tulle to form this modern heirloom wedding dress. This dress is one of my favorites because of its beautiful high mock neckline and A-line skirt.

4.) Modest High Neck Wedding Dress Long Sleeve, Winter Satin A-line Bridal Gown Pockets, Pearl Beaded Lace Corset Closed Back

This one leans a little more dramatic, but in a really elegant, winter-appropriate way. The high neck, long sleeves, and closed back give you full coverage, but the lace and pearl details keep it from feeling too plain or heavy.
I love that it has a structured corset bodice underneath—it gives you shape and support, which isn’t always the case with more modest styles. Then the heavier satin skirt balances everything out and gives it that rich, slightly formal look that works so well for a cold-weather wedding.

5.) Custom Made Modest Wedding Dress – Draped Bodice, Layered Skirt

This one is for anyone who wants a modest dress without a lot of fuss. The long sleeves and higher coverage keep it classic, but the draped bodice adds just enough shape so it doesn’t feel flat or overly simple.
I really like how clean the overall look is. There’s no heavy beading or lace competing for attention—just good structure up top and a soft, layered skirt that moves nicely without feeling bulky.

6.) Polina Ivanova Wedding Dress with Bell Sleeves

Less is more with this simple yet stunning handmade dress by Polina Ivanova. With enchanting bell sleeves and a hand-embroidered turtle neckline, this gown also has an amazing cut for the most flattering fit.

7.) Chi Chi London Lace Bodice Maxi Wedding Dress (Less than $500!)

Another simple and elegant modest wedding dress, featuring lace sleeves with a true maxi skirt and sweetheart neckline. Chi Chi London is who I would have bought my wedding dress from if I had time to order! (They had a white midi dress that I still dream about.)

8.) Ella Beaded Cape Sleeve Wedding Dress (Less than $500!)

This one feels like a nice middle ground if you want a bit of coverage but still want something a little more eye-catching. The cape sleeves do a lot of the work—they give you that shoulder coverage without adding bulk, and they move really nicely when you walk.
The beading and sequins add just enough sparkle without going overboard, and the stretch tulle keeps it comfortable (which isn’t always a given with more fitted styles). It hugs in the right places and then softens out slightly at the bottom, so it doesn’t feel too restrictive.
Overall, it’s a good pick if you want modest-ish coverage with a little personality, rather than something super traditional or fully covered up.

9.) Watters Brides Frederique Gown

Now, this is the most twirl-worthy dress on this list! Leone lace layered over this ballgown’s constructed corset bodice creates a grand silhouette, while a row of dainty bows at the back makes a charming finishing touch. This is a timeless and classy dress that reviewers say is incredibly comfortable to wear all day.

10.) ASOS EDITION Elizabeth Beaded Bodice Wedding Dress (Less than $300!)

Who knew ASOS made gorgeous wedding dresses? I didn’t until recently! (They’re all less than $500 as well!) This beauty features a round neck, long sleeves, bead, and sequin embellishments to top and zip-back fastening.

11.) Lulus White Lace Long Sleeve Mermaid Maxi Dress (Less than $200!!)

In the same vein, who knew Lulus had such gorgeous wedding dresses? Again, they are all incredibly affordable too – most coming in at around $200 (some are even less than $100). The maxi dress pictured here features a stunning floral eyelash lace top with a light nude liner and a princess-seamed bodice. The full maxi skirt has a concave mermaid hem and a romantic lace train.

This wedding gown is effortlessly elegant and gives all the right vintage vibes! The cropped lace overlay finishes just above the natural waist, for a flattering fit. Plus, it’s less than $500!

13.) Alaïa Cotton-Gabardine Maxi Dress

Azzedine Alaïa won a place in the hearts of women around the world with his perfect fit-and-flare silhouette. Cut in the designer’s signature shape, this maxi dress is made from fresh white cotton gabardine and designed with a snug top that kicks out into a full pleated skirt.

14.) ERDEM Celestina Embroidered-Lace Cap-Sleeve Gown

Erdem’s white Celestina dress is a vision of serene romance, with a figure-skimming bias-cut silhouette and fluttering cap sleeves. It’s shaped for a slim fit with a floral-embroidered lace overlay and fluid silk lining alongside a knotted neckline, then falls to a gently flared skirt. You can choose between the black or white grosgrain belts to lend subtle definition to the waist.
Shop the Erdem bridal collection here.
15.) SHALIRA’S BRIDE Lace Jacket A-Line Spaghetti Strap Wedding Dress (Less than $300!)

This is a really nice option if you want a bit of flexibility with your coverage. The lace bolero gives you that modest feel for the ceremony, but you can always take it off later and have a more relaxed, strappy look for the reception.
The A-line shape is easy to wear and flattering on just about everyone, and the chiffon keeps it light and comfortable (especially if you’re dealing with a warmer venue). It’s not stiff or overly structured, which I personally think makes a big difference on a long day.

Gorgeous! I especially love the Melissa Sweet Embroidered Illusion Mock Neck Wedding Dress
I love that one too!
I am a senior lady who has never married and would like something modest, but still unique, unlike what everyone else is wearing. I like the Bonheur dress. I would like to send you a picture of myself and ask for your assistance in making my day memorable without being too outlandish. Thank you.
