The 10 European Dream Destinations Americans Are Searching for Most in 2025

For many Americans, Europe still tops the travel wish list, and new research shows exactly where we’re dreaming of heading first.

According to a study by SopranoVillas, which analyzed Google searches across the U.S. from March 2024 to February 2025, researchers tracked nearly 3,000 travel-related keywords, from “flights to Paris” to “hotels in Santorini,” to calculate average monthly search volumes for each country.

The final ranking reflects which European countries Americans search for the most overall, a pretty good indicator of where we’re planning (or at least daydreaming about) our next big getaway.

10. Ireland – 354,313 monthly searches

Between Dublin’s cozy pubs, the Cliffs of Moher, and fairytale castles like Ashford and Dromoland, Ireland offers a mix of warmth and wild beauty that clearly resonates with American travelers. “Dublin hotels” alone pulled over 100,000 searches a month — proof that many are ready to toast with a proper pint of Guinness. (This is a great Ireland road trip itinerary if you’re planning your own trip!)
