These are the 10 Best Beaches in the World for 2025, According to Tripadvisor

Looking for a slice of paradise to add to your bucket list? Tripadvisor recently released its Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Beaches for 2025, based on millions of real reviews from travelers around the globe.

Each of these beaches has earned its spot on the list thanks to glowing reviews from travelers who’ve actually been there. We’re talking pink sand in Greece, cliffside stunners in Indonesia, and everything in between. Here’s what made them stand out in 2025.

10. Myrtos Beach – Kefalonia, Greece

Tucked between towering mountains on the Ionian island of Kefalonia, Myrtos Beach is straight out of a postcard. Its dramatic setting and vibrant blue waters make it a serene escape, perfect for lounging, swimming, or snorkeling. It’s usually not too crowded, so you’ll have plenty of room to spread out and soak up the peaceful vibes. There’s also a nearby café when you’re ready for a post-swim snack.

9. Kelingking Beach – Nusa Penida, Indonesia

You’ve probably seen Kelingking Beach on Instagram—those iconic cliffs shaped like a T-Rex jawline are hard to forget. But this beach is even more magical in person. Powdery white sand, teal waters perfect for snorkeling, and a somewhat secluded feel despite its popularity. It’s fairly easy to reach and has restrooms and parking, which is always a win when you’re exploring Bali’s lesser-known gems.

8. Platja de Muro – Majorca, Spain

Families, rejoice…this is your beach! Located on the northern coast of Majorca, Platja de Muro offers calm, shallow waters ideal for little ones, plus amenities like lifeguards, bathrooms, and even pine trees for shade. Whether you’re in the mood for paddleboarding, snorkeling, or just laying out in the sun with a book, this beach has you covered.

7. Bávaro Beach – Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Bávaro Beach is what most people picture when they think “Caribbean paradise.” Soft, white sand? Check. Swaying palm trees? Check. Crystal-clear waters for swimming and snorkeling? Check and check. Thanks to a natural reef offshore, the waters here are calm and perfect for all levels of swimmers, and there are plenty of beach bars nearby if your vibe is more sipping than snorkeling, as well as a ton of beautiful resorts to choose from.

6. Playa Varadero – Varadero, Cuba

Spanning over 12 miles, Playa Varadero is one of Cuba’s most famous beaches, and for good reason. Golden sand and impossibly blue water make it a dream to visit. Take a catamaran ride, play a little volleyball, or do absolutely nothing but enjoy the view. It’s lively without being chaotic, and the sunsets here? Unreal.

5. Praia da Falésia – Olhos de Agua, Portugal

If dramatic scenery is your thing, Praia da Falésia should be on your radar. Towering red cliffs frame the golden sands and deep blue waters, creating a beachscape you won’t find anywhere else. You can swim, surf, or simply take in the views from the cliff-top trail above. It’s a beach and a hike rolled into one.

4. Siesta Beach – Siesta Key, Florida, USA

Stateside travelers don’t have to hop a flight to Europe or the Caribbean to find one of the world’s best beaches. Siesta Beach on Florida’s Gulf Coast is famous for its powdery white sand (it’s 99% quartz!), warm water, and easy access. There’s public transportation, shops, restaurants, and even wheelchair-accessible entry points, making it as convenient as it is beautiful.

3. Eagle Beach – Aruba

Eagle Beach is one of Aruba’s most iconic stretches of shoreline, and it’s easy to see why it lands in the top three. Wide, white-sand beaches with plenty of room to spread out, calm turquoise water, and postcard-worthy Divi Divi trees leaning in the breeze. It’s less crowded than some of Aruba’s other beaches but still has all the amenities… restrooms, parking, and water sports galore.

2. Banana Beach – Phuket, Thailand

Hidden away from the more crowded parts of Phuket, Banana Beach is a dream come true for anyone craving a more off-the-beaten-path escape. Go snorkeling around vibrant coral reefs, get a relaxing beachside massage, or sip a fresh coconut under the palm trees. It’s small, peaceful, and ridiculously scenic.

If you’re planning a visit, I highly recommend looking into The Naka Island Resort, just a short boat ride away. It’s one of the most memorable stays I’ve had in Thailand and makes for a perfect home base.

1. Elafonissi Beach – Crete, Greece

And the top beach in the world for 2025? That honor goes to Elafonissi Beach in Crete! And it’s not hard to understand why. Between the cotton-candy-pink sands and shallow turquoise lagoons, this spot looks like something out of a fantasy novel.

It’s ideal for families, adventure-seekers, and yes, even sunset chasers (pro tip: go late in the day to dodge the crowds and catch the sky turning into a watercolor painting). Just be mindful of the kite surfers in the lagoon; some recent reviewers said they got a bit too close for comfort.
