Visiting Versailles with Mallory
France is a country I have always wanted to visit, but I have yet to make the journey to. Fortunately, this month’s travel guest blogger, Mallory of Perhaps Bananas, was just there on her honeymoon. And she’s sharing some incredible photos of her favorite spot in France – Versailles!
Mallory had quite the whirlwind trip, and she actually just moved from Seoul, South Korea to Buffalo, New York. Following her journey has been so fun, and you’ll definitely want to check out her blog after you’re done reading her post below.
Visiting Versailles with Mallory
As a huge fan of this blog, I was super excited when Lindsey asked me to write a featured travel piece for her. Plus, I had the perfect trip to write about. My husband and I just finished our honeymoon trip and one of my favorite stops was in Versailles. We just took a day trip from Paris and ended up in one of the most extravagant places I’ve ever even imagined. Seriously, textbooks do this place absolutely no justice!
It’s so bizarre to me that we could have a packed picnic, rent bicycles, and just wander around the former grounds of French royalty. Except for the inside of the main palace, the grounds are completely free of cost to roam. Crazy, right? And in my opinion, the grounds are way better than the inside of the palace anyways.
Thanks again to the lovely Lindsey for featuring me on her blog. To see more, visit me over at Perhaps Bananas.
Always,
Mallory
